Dress Code
Gosforth Golf Club seeks to promote a friendly,relaxed atmosphere in which members and guests can enjoy the course and clubhouse facilities.Although casual dress is permitted on and off the course,it is important that the term "casual" is not abused and that the clubs standards are followed at all times.
Please be aware that anyone found not complying with the dress rules will not be permitted to play golf or enter the clubhouse.

Acceptable in the Clubhouse
- Casual dress permitted at all times. Must be smart in appearance.
Unacceptable in the clubhouse
- Denim clothing,football shirts,rugby shirts.
- Tracksuits,shell suits,anoraks,overcoats,kagools,outside clothing.
- Items of headwear.
- Golf and training shoes.
- Damp or soiled attire.
- Golf equipment including holdalls,plastic bags or the like.
Acceptable on the course
- Golf shoes(spikes or tee grips)
- Tailored shorts worn with ankle or knee length socks.
- Tailored trousers, smart trousers with external side pockets
- Plus 2s,crops.
- Long or mid calf cargo/combat style trousers.
- Shirts with collars and long and short sleeves(must be tucked in)
- Shirts designed exclusively not to be tucked in are excluded
Unacceptable on the course
- Training shoes (except under 11's with permission)
- Athletic, beach, boxer, football/rugby, swimming shorts
- Denim/brushed denim jeans.
- Trouser legs tucked into socks.
- Tracksuit or shell suit bottoms worn separately
- No camourflage dress at all.
- Singlets, tee shirts, football/rugby shirts, tracksuit tops
