Many of our visitors return again and again to test their own skills in this leafy parkland setting. We are proud to have hosted a number of County events and host many corporate golf days. The course itself is fairly flat and relatively easy to walk and has immense character; with the 90 acre site being both tranquil and scenic with plenty of local wildlife regularly calling in to inspect the course.
The Ouse Burn is a major feature of Gosforth Golf Course and runs the length of the course, winding its way down the 18th and through the 4th on its way to the Tyne. Avoiding this can be a test of its own! Our signature hole is, undoubtedly the 18th, at 432 yards from the medal tee and has often been referred to as the “one of the toughest finishing holes in our region” .In 2007, the popular Golf North East magazine referred to our course as “a great test of your golfing ability”.
