On behalf of the members of Gosforth Golf Club, it is my pleasure to offer you a warm welcome via our website to this fantastic club and wonderful golf course. We are all very proud of our club and its status as one of the premier golf courses in the North East of England.

The Mens Section

Gosforth Golf Club is a course that remains in superb condition all year round and, whilst demanding, it is usually fair and enjoyable. It is widely regarded as a true and comprehensive test of one's golfing abilities.

From our website you can find all the information you need, including this season’s golfing fixture list. Men's competitions are generally played on Saturdays and Wednesdays, however there are also numerous competitions held on Sundays. Details of all fixtures along with club knockout competitions are also displayed in the men's s locker room. If you need any golfing assistance, please go into the club shop and see Grahame Garland who is the Club Secretary and Golf Professional.

As a founder member, Gosforth Golf Club competes in the Newcastle and District Golf League. Matches are played on a Thursday evening starting at 5pm. I would encourage everyone to come and watch the team players in action. Golf is of an exceptionally high standard as the County's finest players battle it out against each other in match play format. Details of fixtures are displayed on the Captain's notice board within the men's locker room.

For any member lucky enough to win one of our golf competitions, our annual prize presentation night is held in November where winners are presented with their trophies. I hope to see you there.

Myself and the Lady Captain, Melanie Garland, are jointly fundraising to support Guide Dogs for the Blind during our Captaincy. If you are unfortunate enough to end up in the Captain’s Charity bunker, located to the left hand side of the 18th green, we would be grateful if you would donate £1 to one of the charity collection dogs located in the pro shop or in the clubhouse bar area. Throughout the year, you will see various fund raising activities taking place. Please come along and help to support us raise money for this charity.
Finally, and most importantly, please enjoy all of the time you spend at Gosforth Golf Club.

I hope you have a great golfing year.
